Excluding club officers, who oversee all teams from a local perspective, every team role falls into one of three categories below. Pilots and copilots are secondary roles — anyone in those seats still holds one of the three primary roles.
Tasked with construction — either building the initial drone or attaching the mechanisms designed by the CAD drafters, ideally under their supervision.
Handle the autonomous missions required for competition — from managing the drone's flight path over waypoints to remotely triggering mechanisms with precision at each checkpoint.
Focused on the mission-specific mechanism design — from a claw built to pick up a tennis ball, to a triangular cutout shaped to hold a cube.
